Responsibility & Sustainability
Writing software is easy. Operating software securely and efficiently for over a decade is difficult.
I am interested in the sustainability of software and thus its entire life cycle. This includes an ethical obligation on the part of the supplier towards the user of the software.
Technology is not an end in itself. It must serve people and be economically and ecologically viable. The pursuit of efficiency and the minimization of technical ballast should be the logical standard.
Anyone who designs a system must understand its consequences, from maintainability to resource consumption. Quality means that a system will still be understandable and manageable tomorrow.
Long-term thinking and conservative, robust technologies are preferable to short-lived trends. Sustainable digital ecosystems need solid foundations, not flimsy facades.
